Karekeba imbibes the spirit of ‘must do it’. We collaborate with leading professionals around the world to identify potential startups to invest in. Our vision is to help entrepreneurs with the right guidance, access to mentors and advisors, and seed capital to grow their business post POC stage and in turn, help the entrepreneurial ecosystem Bihar.

KKB was founded in September 2020. The registered office of Karekeba Ventures LLP is Flat No – 302, Vidyalankar Bhawan, Nageshwar Colony, Boring Road, Patna – 800001.

Although KKB works across all the sectors, it prefers the sectors which have the potential to succeed in Bihar as also, for sizable employment generation, which is a crying need. In a way, it combines impact with financial returns. Our preferred sectors are agriculture and agro-processing; IT/IT enabled services handloom / handicraft; health and wellness, Education and sustainable development.

You can send your business proposals at info@karekeba.com. Please remember, KKB will invest only in post-POC, in-revenue businesses and not at ideation stage. However, at ideation stage, you are most welcome to send your proposals for incubation support, where you get access to world-class mentors.

Yes, Karekeba conducts focused and very selected offline pitching events. We also conduct online pitching sessions for our featured Syndicates. You can talk to us for the same. At present all the operations are on-line.

Karekeba charges a nominal one-time fee to the startups selected for incubation. The fee is collected at the time of the commencement of the incubation.

Apart from a one-time on-boarding fee, there is a 2% entry fee of the seed assistance when provided in line with the industry practice. There is a 2% exit fee at the exit valuation at the time of exit. The legal and due-diligence charges (on actual basis) are additional.

Karekeba provides the following benefits to its startups:

  1. Business and Technical Assistance
  2. Affordable/Flexible Office Space
  3. A Network of Relationships with other Business Owners
  4. Strategic advice from world-class mentors
  5. Financial Assistance and Advice
  6. Preservation of Working Capital
  7. Access to startup pitches and webinars.

  9. Access to investors in the startup ecosystem.
  10. Quarterly update call/status note from invested startups (one common call with founders for all the members of Karekeba)

We have kept the process simple for the investors while KKB is the flagship and will be having all administrative functions, there will be separate investment SPVs for every cohort. Hence, the investors coming on board can either invest directly in a startup or in a cohort of startups. Hence the investor/partners are not paying for the opeartional/administrative expenses of KKB but purely in the curated cohort of startups. The transaction, terms and conditions would be customized between the startup and the SPV (comprising the pool of investors), with guidance from the core leadership team of Karekeba), for example: Standard Term sheet, Valuation, Evaluation Sheets etc. Karekeba will have a syndication fee for facilitating the process. The returns will be offered at exit in line with the industry practice.
